SuperBowl XLIV's Late Night Tri-Rail Specials

“Tri-Rail is definitely one of the most convenient, stress-free ways to get to the Pro Bowl and Super Bowl,” said Director of Marketing Bonnie Arnold, South Florida Regional Transportation Authority/Tri-Rail. “We recognize that these are two of the largest sporting events to be hosted in South Florida and we wanted to offer residents and visitors an alternative way to get to the games at an affordable price.”

What exactly are these services? This year, Super Bowl XLIV and the 2010 Pro Bowl will be held in South Florida's Dolphin Stadium. Partnering with Miami Subs Pizza & Grill, Tri-Rail is extending additional services, including special, late-night trains and shuttle buses, to meet the demand for Pro Bowl 2010 and Super Bowl XLIV. Event-goers can beat the traffic and enjoy a ride on Tri-Rail for only $5 roundtrip, which includes the cost of both the train and shuttle bus rides.

Passengers must possess either, a special Tri-Rail Pro Bowl 2010 and / or Super Bowl XLIV Roundtrip Ticket, or, a valid Tri-Rail Ticket for passage onboard the train and shuttles. Tri-Rail Monthly and 12-Trip ticket- holders do not need to purchase special Pro Bowl or Super Bowl Roundtrip tickets and can use their Monthly or 12-Trip tickets for passage onboard the shuttle buses (tickets must be purchased/validated from a station other than the Golden Glades Station).

Riders can board the train at any of Tri-Rail’s 18 conveniently located stations and enjoy a train ride to the Golden Glades Station. From there, riders will board a shuttle bus to arrive at the Wal-Mart bus drop-off and pick-up location directly across the street from Dolphin Stadium. Shuttle buses will begin operating the loop between the train station and the bus drop-off and pick-up location at 1 p.m., for both games. Kick-off for the Pro-Bowl is at 7:30 p.m. The Super Bowl kick-off is scheduled for 6:28 p.m. Buses will return to the station in time for passengers to catch the 8:48 p.m. northbound train or the 9:50 southbound train, should fans need to leave the game early. Special northbound and southbound trains will depart from the station approximately one-hour after the last play of the games, and an additional northbound train will depart the station one and a half hours after the final play.
