How to Install a Thermostat on a BMW:
1. Remove fan and fan shroud.
*Note* Caution! Left hand threads on the fan.
2. Follow top rad hose to the thermostat housing which is bolted to the cyl. head.
3. Remove thermostat housing and replace thermostat and gasket. note the arrow on the thermostat, it should point up.
