Most brides look at wedding budgets and immediately get depressed. Luckily, as Arlene Pecora shares, there is no need to be discouraged! A wedding budget does not need to be the funeral of your big day. You can still save money without sacrificing your ultimate bridal dreams!
The Date. Caterers, DJs, rental companies, florists, and reception locales operate full-tilt from May – October, and are especially busy during prom season. Many vendors will offer discounts during their off-season months (November to April).
The Invitations. While engraved vellum invitations may be exquisite, they bear a hefty price tag that’s not easily justified when you’re planning on a modest budget. Save big while presenting an elegant first impression by printing invitations at home with a high-quality printer and professional cardstock.
The Food. Opt for buffet provisions rather than a formal sit-down meal. Another option is to plan your reception during non-customary meal times, such as late afternoon (before 4:00) or late evening (after 9:00) and serve only hors d’oeuvres or dessert.
